LAGOS, Thursday August 14, 2025 — Today at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) officially celebrated its Golden Jubilee with a landmark event themed “Pioneering the Future of Energy in Africa.” In attendance were top government and industry figures advocating for Nigeria’s energy transformation.
Speakers included the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Senator Heineken Lokpobiri (Oil) , the CEOs of Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and leading executives from global oil firms. The discussions focused on upgrading upstream governance, expanding frontier basin exploration, and accelerating energy transitions—highlighting Nigerian energy as a catalyst for continental growth .
