Ministry of Petroleum Resources (Gas) holds investment forum on gas

As part of measures targeted at attracting investors, the Ministry of Petroleum Resources (Gas), Nigeria has concluded plans to hold a gas investment forum on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 1.00pm – 2.30pm, West Africa Time, WAT.

The event to be held virtually has Catalysing Investments for Nigeria’s Upstream Gas Sector – global Trends, Opportunities and Challenges – as its theme.

The event has the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, Special Adviser to the President on Energy, Olu Verheijen and Mansur Mohammed, head of New Business Development Africa, Wood Mackenzie as host, Guest speaker and moderator, respectively.

Also, the event has Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, Commission Chief Executive, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission; Jim Swartz, Chairman/Managing director of Chevron Nigeria Mid-Africa Unit; Dr. Layi Fatona, Chairman of Renaissance Energy; Udobong Ntia, Executive Vice President, Upstream, NNPC and Ibitola Ukabam Vice President, Energy Resources, Africa Finance Corporation, as panelists.
